I've been kind of winging it on recipes. We just started juicing watermelon and cantaloupe in our juices, and they are great! Probably a bit high on the sugar. I'm going to work on more green juices as I go along. Found this one on Facebook Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead group, from poster Dina Yarbrough:

Day 5
So, it looks like our weight stabilized on day 4, 210 and 225 for Thunder and I. Today I weighed in at 224, and Thunder is at 208! I think realistically I've lost 10 lbs in 5 days! I can't wait to crack 200.

Good Morning Day 3!
Weigh in - 210 (!)
I'm not going to lie, yesterday was rough. I did all right while at work, lots of juice, an apple and a carrot for solids, lots of water and chewing gum. And I felt pretty good. The problem hit when I stopped at HEB to pick up some more fruit and veggies. The whole store smelled like fresh bread and chicken, and I could not deny our son his customary fancy cupcake from the bakery.
It was very frustrating. I love food, especially 'bad' foods. It actually got me into a bit of an ornery mood for the night. But I made it! I did it!

Day 2 recap
Day 2 was pretty good. I had good energy most of the day. I had mostly juices, with a few solids like a banana and an orange. Thunder made excellent soup for dinner, and I made a fruit juice for dessert.
The mental challenge of fasting/dieting is a tough one. But, at my afternoon weigh in, 227! So, I think with some daily fluctuations, 4-6 lbs in two days! Impressive. I would love to break 200.

Good Morning Day 2!
Weigh in: 212.6
Day one was rough, but not impossible. I found myself craving foods I normally would not even touch, just because they were food. The smell of hot dogs that the children at school had for lunch made my mouth water, and I don't even like hot dogs!
Here was my menu for the day:
Breakfast juice
1 carrot
1 stalk of celery
1 small red apple
about 1.5 cups frozen fruit blend (thawed) or strawberries, mangoes, pineapple, and peaches
Lunch
about 10oz of Green Goddess from Bolthouse Farms
1 banana
Snack
1 apple with a little chili/lime salt
Dinner
Homemade vegetable and mushroom soup (4 cups chicken bullion, 3 carrots, 3 stalks celery, 1/4 red onion, 1 large portabella, 1 yello squash, 1 cup frozen broccoli). Split with Husky Boy.
Night time snack juice
1 cucumber
1 carrot
1 orange
Handfull of blueberries
2 cups frozen fruit mix
Lots of water, green tea, and 2 diet cokes.
Also split with Husky boy.
I have learned a few things already. Frozen fruit does not juice well, even thawed. I am not a fan of juiced ginger, and even just a few pieces of solid fruit or veggies make a world of difference in how you feel.
I wont lie, I was hungry most of the day. Some out of habit I am sure, but some out of tummy rumbles too, but all in all it was not too bad. Seeing the scale down 3 lbs after one day was not too shabby either.
Side effects other then hunger: Frequent urination (I was drinking lots of water, but still!) Slight headache, little bit of crankiness. Surprisingly though through al of this my head felt very clear.
Looking forward to the next 9 days!

Day 1, Part 2
Husky Boy here. Day 1 has been pretty interesting. I kept to my prior post regarding the meal plan, and so far I haven't really felt hungry. What I do feel, well, there's a couple of things. I'm having moments of fatigue or tiredness. I feel alert one minute, but then ebb into a sleepy state. The second thing I feel is a headache that's been coming and going through the afternoon.
The first couple days of a juicing fast / diet are known to be tough. You're dramatically decreasing your caloric intake and you're body is being forced to actually start burning fats or convert the protein in the raw foods. The headache may be a lack of water, but it's more likely caffeine withdrawal. I shouldn't be surprised after two Monster drinks a day for I don't know how long... 4 years?
So, returned home about 2 PM and made another juice. A little onion, a radish, some spinach, two carrots, three sticks of celery, and an apple, which all came in at about 16 oz. Spicy and with a little kick, it was pretty good!
Finally, I had a couple solids today. I had two bananas, and an orange. These were in my pack when I couldn't reach a juicer.
So far, success! Current weight: 231lbs. Weight this morning: 235. I flux quite a bit in weight during the day though, as I work outside in the Texas heat and lose water.
Wonder what we should make for dinner.

I've prepped for day one by freezing one juice to take on the road with me, and readying my morning ingredients in the the fridge. My first juice of day one will be 2 oranges, 2 carrots, a large handful of blue berries, and 2 apples. The folks at Reboot/Fat, Sick suggest making each juice 16 oz, and I think that's for the sense of fullness along with the calories. So, maybe one more apple or some celery if I need it.
So, my day 1 plan is:
3 AM - Juice 1, mainly fruits
6-7 AM - Juice 2, Celery, spinach, apple, and carrots
10-11 AM - Hopefully finishing up my workday, possibly a banana or commericial juice. I need to see how full I feel at this point. I'm used to only having a Snickers and a couple Monsters at this point.
1-2 PM Juice 3: Spinach, celery, cucumber, raddish (?)
And so on. I'll give an update tomorrow afternoon on the plan as it develops.
ONWARD!

Starting Stats!
A wise tow truck once said, "Ain't no need to watch where I'm goin'; just need to know where I've been." So here is where we have been!
Thunder Thighs:
Measurements - Day 0
Height - 63"
Weight - 215.2 lbs
BMI - 38.1
Stomach - 45"
Chest - 39" (under breasts)
Hips - 51"
Bicep - 15"
Neck - 15.5
In addition to being obese I also have developed type 2 diabetes thanks in a large part to my unhealthy lifestyle.
Husky Boy:
Measurements - Day 0
Height - 66"

BMI - 37.6
Stomach - 44.5"
Chest - 46.5"
Hips - 47"
